The Society of Heads is delighted to welcome Dr Andy Kemp (Principal) and The National Mathematics and Science College in Warwickshire into full membership.
Dr Andy Kemp, previously Head of the Stephen Perse Foundation Senior School and before that Head of Wells Cathedral Senior School, said “It is an honour to be asked to join such a prestigious group as the Society of Heads, both personally and for the College. I look to working with my fellow Heads and the excellent team at the Society of Heads; sharing our experiences and learning from their own, and thereby working together to improve the educational experience for all our students.”
The National Mathematics and Science College is the top specialist STEM boarding sixth form College in the UK. Dr Andy Kemp says “We all recognise that Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subjects are more important today than they have ever been. For those students looking to excel in these areas, the specialist education we can provide is designed to enable them to thrive both at A-level and beyond. We recognise that a high-quality specialist education must go beyond the narrow confines of the curriculum and must expose our students to the breadth and joy contained within these subject areas in an integrated way. We are geared to help our students learn how to think, not what to think, which will allow them to thrive at College, at University and beyond.”
