Cranford is thrilled to be celebrating pupils’ exceptional achievements across an outstanding set of GCSE results that highlight the school’s continued academic excellence. With an impressive 53% of all grades at 9-7 (equivalent to A*-A), improving top grades overall by 5% from the previous year. The school continues to underline its reputation for academic excellence.
The school is especially proud to maintain a Value-Added Score of +1, indicating that pupils continue to achieve well over a grade above their nationally standardised baseline targets. This continues to demonstrate the school’s academic consistency with a hugely impressive average GCSE Value-Added Score of +1.27 over the last 10 years.
As in previous years, the school’s results proved incredibly strong across the curriculum with 56% of all grades at 7 or higher in core subjects English, Maths and the Sciences. Physics 65% and Computer Science 71% both achieved impressive 9-7 results. Similar success was celebrated across the school; in the Creative Arts, 76% of all grades achieved were at 9-7, with 78% grades 9-7 in Religious Studies and 63% in Modern Foreign Languages. Particular highlights include 91% 9-7 French and 93% 9-7 Textiles.
