Making a difference to others’ lives is an intrinsic part of the Freemen’s community. Under the leadership of Mrs Newhouse, 2021 has yet again seen huge efforts made by pupils, parents and staff to raise money for our elected charities this year.
A grand total of £10,024 was raised during the spring and summer terms of 2021 for Comic Relief, Concern Worldwide (The Ration Challenge), Donate4Refugees, Momentum Children's Charity, Muscular Dystrophy UK. Care4Calais is also hugely grateful for all the items - clothes, food and toiletries - that the Freemen's School community has donated to them for the refugees they support.
Donations have also been gratefully received by the Epsom and Ewell Foodbank, Samaritans Purse, Vision aid Overseas, and not forgetting the PPE equipment which was donated to the local NHS.
Our combined efforts will have made a fantastic difference to many people in need round the world. Combined with the £20,597 that the School raised as part of 20/20 Vision, that makes a terrific total of £30,621 raised over the past two years.
Thank you to everyone who ‘made a difference’ this year, and we will continue to think of others in the forthcoming academic year.
