In September 2022, The National Mathematics and Science College, the UK’s top specialist sixth-form STEM school, will take boarding to the next level with its new purpose-built residence, combining cutting edge design with collaborative communal spaces. The NatMatSci boarding experience will be a truly 21st century one, preparing our students for world class universities and beyond.
The state-of-the art building, near Warwick University in Warwickshire, will feature over 130 university-style single en-suite high-quality bedrooms including shared kitchen and modern community co-working and recreational spaces to encourage collaboration, and a fully-equipped gym. The accommodation will also host a purpose-built spacious canteen for in house catering which will also create modern event space. When the new boarding residence opens in September – ahead of schedule as construction work continued throughout the pandemic - It will complete phase two of the estates development – creating the space and facilities to allow the college to grow in strength to beyond 150 students.
Principal, Dr Andy Kemp said “With this inspiring development the College will have its own top-class boarding and catering facilities to match the outstanding teaching and learning facilities we already have. We have deliberately designed our boarding in a university style so we can better prepare our students for the exciting pace of life at some of the best universities in the world”
