Wisbech High School for Girls Celebrates 120 Years of Excellence with Special Afternoon Tea for Alumni.
Wisbech Grammar School is delighted to invite alumni who previously attended Wisbech High School for Girls to a special celebration marking its 120th anniversary. The event will take place on Saturday, 17th May 2025, at 13:30, and will offer a wonderful afternoon of reminiscing, reconnecting, and commemorating this significant milestone.
Founded in 1905, Wisbech High School for Girls was a cornerstone of education for young women in the Wisbech area for over 65 years until it merged with the Boys Grammar School in 1970. Now, 120 years later, the school continues to thrive as a place of academic excellence, personal growth with a strong sense of community.
The exclusive event will feature afternoon tea with a glass of prosecco, the perfect setting for alumni to reconnect with former classmates. Attendees will also have the opportunity to take a tour of the school upon arrival, revisiting familiar spaces and learning about the recent developments that have shaped the school’s growth. A special tree planting ceremony will also be held, allowing guests to contribute to a lasting symbol of the school’s legacy.

There will be a nominal attendance charge of £15 per person to cover the cost of the afternoon tea with prosecco and the cake for the 120th anniversary.
