Huge congratulations to Box Hill School’s Class of 2023, who are celebrating their A Level results today. We are proud of this cohort of young people given the challenges of recent years and remembering that these are the first set of externally marked public exams that they have taken.
Head Boy, Harrison, achieved an impressive 3 A*s. He explains, “I’m quite speechless…I opened my results just as our Head of Sixth Form was calling me to congratulate me! My family and I are ecstatic. I worked very hard and was determined to get into University of Liverpool where I will be studying Business Management.”
After securing 1 A* and 2 As, Aysha is especially looking forward to her journey at Nottingham University where she will be studying Economics, “I have my heart set on a career in banking and finance, so when I opened my results and found out I had my first choice university, I realise I’m well on my way. I am buzzing! I’m now off to celebrate with my friends”.
Another notable achievement amongst many is Ella who has impressively secured 1 A*and 3 As and is thrilled to be on her way to her first-choice university: Imperial College London to study Engineering.
Against our background as a school with holistic education at its core, Headmaster Cory Lowde comments on this year’s graduates “your achievements serve as an inspiration to current and future students embarking on their own educational pursuits. We believe that the skills, knowledge, and values you have acquired during your time at Box Hill School will equip you to thrive in a rapidly changing world.”
There have also been excellent performances from many subject departments, including 100% A* - B in Physical Education and over two thirds A*-B in Chemistry and History, over half of the Maths grades are at A*-A.
This leaving year group must also be commended on their incredible personal growth and strength of character which Box Hill School prides itself on developing in every pupil.
