The day included a Strength and Conditioning session with British swimmer, Ben, who led the pupils through a variety of exercises. They then got to experience some Vo2max and Anaerobic Wingate tests. The students were given their data to take back to Leweston to analyse in their classroom sessions.
After lunch on campus followed a presentation and Q&A with a very informative third year student, Phoebe, who is a GB U23 rower. Phoebe talked about her aspirations to compete at the LA 2028 Games. The students were then taken on a tour of the Team Bath University Sports Training Village. Finally, they took a visit to the British Bobsleigh and Skeleton push track and a chance to sit in a bobsled.
The day was an amazing opportunity for the students, who left feeling very inspired!
