Ranked for their academic excellence against some of the county’s 900 secondary schools, King’s appears in seventh position, alongside King’s High Warwick, King Edward VI High School, Birmingham, and Solihull School.
Expressing his delight at the School’s prestigious achievement, Headmaster Gareth Doodes said, “To be ranked for the third year running as one of the Top 10 Independent Schools in the West Midlands is fantastic news. This is excellent recognition for the hard work put in by our pupils, and the inspiring teaching here at King’s. It is a testament to the rounded education and inclusive ethos we have at King’s, and a real boost for the King’s Foundation of Schools.
This year’s GCSE and A-level pupils have done incredibly well academically, and have also fully embraced the myriad opportunities we provide outside the classroom, whether this be on the stage, sports fields or one of our many trips. In spite of disruptions to their education in recent years caused by the tail-end of COVID-19, these pupils continued to achieve remarkable results and have succeeded in securing incredible future pathways into universities, apprenticeships and beyond.”
