LVS Ascot, an award-winning, independent co-educational day and boarding school, attended the Education Today School & Supplier Awards over the weekend, after being shortlisted for the Best use of ICT/Technology in School Award.
The School & Supplier Awards, hosted by Education Today, recognise and reward the Suppliers, Schools and Individuals who work so tirelessly for the greater good of the Education sector. The awards are created to ensure that those with the highest levels of technical expertise and outstanding reputations are recognised amongst the community and further afield. The Best use of ICT/Technology in School Category acknowledges schools that have used IT effectively to improve the learning outcomes of their pupils, and enabled teachers to teach more effectively.
LVS Ascot is a Microsoft Showcase School, whose EdTech culture is embellished by the belief that technology can be and should be, used to enhance the delivery of education for all its learners. LVS Ascot wanted to shift its ideology from a school which uses technology periodically, to a school where technology drives learning, and it has been proud of its pupils in adapting to change and for embracing blended learning in the classroom and at home.
Christine Cunniffe, Principal at LVS Ascot: "We were honoured to attend the Education Today School & Supplier Awards over the weekend, after being shortlisted for the Best use of Technology/ICT in School Award. The ceremony is an exciting opportunity to connect with other like-minded experts within the industry, whilst recognising the commitment and hard work from our teachers and pupils who have enabled our continuous success. To be shortlisted reinforces our dedication to incorporating IT at every opportunity in our lessons at LVS Ascot, to help bring alive both subject content and passion for lifelong learning. We look forward to entering the Education Today School & Supplier Awards again next year.”
