The team, comprising of Grace Robinson, Jasmine Bullough-Teal, Amy Ainsworth, and Lottie Meade, competed in the Medley Relay at the Aquatics Centre in London swimming butterfly, freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke respectively.
The talented swimmers qualified for the national competition after winning the regionals in October.
The Secondary Schools Team Relay Championships is the longest-running championship series organised by the ESSA.
It is open to secondary school-aged swimmers from across England, including state, public and home-schooled students.
Teams compete in 4x50m relays and competing schools are determined by the fastest times achieved in a qualifying round organised by the ESSA divisions.
The Westholme swim team qualified over short course (25m pool) with a time of 2.11.63.
In 2022, ESSA had 2,099 teams from over 300 schools that participated in the qualifying round in 20 separate galas across the country.
They moved up from 26th position out of 30 going into the finals, to 20th out of 30 at the finals.
Miss Bryony Parkinson, their coach and Teacher of Physical Education, said: “I am so proud of the girls, they tried so hard and managed to PB over long course.
“The girls do not normally train together, and it is a real achievement to get to the Nationals after coming first in the whole of the NW for both freestyle and medley relay.
“For Grace and Jasmine this is their second time at the Nationals since being at Westholme School, and for Lottie and Amy it was a great experience to swim in the Olympic pool.
“I had a super day and I hope to be able to repeat it with up-and-coming year groups next year.”
Dr Robson, Principal at Westholme School, congratulated the team for representing Westholme at a national level.
He said: “There is so much talent in Sport at Westholme and our resources and facilities, with our own swimming pool, enables us to provide the platform for them all to excel. The girls performed brilliantly on the national stage and we are very proud of their achievement”
